Do you know that frenzy feeling, so sacred and sweet, it gives you some sort of electric current through your veins when your favorite band says, "We're All Time Low, thank you for having us" at the end of sweaty fistful yet very serene, the time-of-your-life concert, just right after they hit a long hanging prosperous climax of the encore? That, is one of the best feelings human could ever feel. Unless, there such a thing in animals' world, and they could probably feel it too.
One of the scariest feelings in this world is being completely lost in the sea of not-knowing -- and it usually happen by the time you have to know what you want to do with your life. Entering adulthood can be pain in the ass -- and scary too, as most of the time you find yourself questioning the certainty of everything. You might get lost; and often those who are lost, they give away the innocence of a child that once there, having a genuine belief on something without weighing on anything, in which I personally think, should stay within forever. Because getting by won't be as sweet as it is if that bit is missing. And not to mention, things may get rough and the only thing that you can hold on to is having a faith
That is to say, the greatest thing is just simply knowing; knowing what you want -- what you want to write, you want to keep, you want to say, you want to pursue, you want to fight for, where you want to go. The rest might not come easy, but that first step of determination, a drop of fearless faith, is just what everyone needs to begin the life ahead of them. Doubts and challenges will greet you along the way; that brief-yet-felt-so-long rush in your head which caused a minute of madness. Don't forget, it only last a minute. So, keep on going. Keep looking what you want. You might meet what you don't want along the way. That's fine. I'm telling you, keep going. A wise fish once said, "Just keep swimming."
P.S: don't forget to take a glimpse of the music video I put below. They are worth to notice!
I think the worst state of human being is not when one is suffering in pain but once when one is no longer able to feel -- inspired, or to love. Those who are in love are the brave. They are one step ahead of everyone who hold themselves back. Loving someone, or something, takes courage. Just like sailor in the sea, it is not going to be a smooth sailing all the way. There will be storm, heavy current and waves or seasickness. The possibilities of getting hurt, broken hearted, are there -- it almost inevitable. That is why, those who are still taking the risks and chances to get through those are the brave ones. It does not always about being loved back, the form of love is too wide to tie in one end. Some says, love is unconditional. Some says, love is blind. I do not know what love is, but I am sure it makes you feel happy. Maybe, just a maybe, that, and the joy, the butterflies, the thrills or even the pain are worth it. Go ahead and try. Let me know after ;-)
Hi. I've missed you! Here are quick updates of what's happening recently:
My favorite of the month: Wong Fu Productions consist of Philip Wang, Wesley Chan and Ted Fu. As you might have heard of them -- if not, you are missing a lot. Their videos are the perfect marriage of humor and romance where everybody can relate easily. Their script was beautifully written; few times I had myself lost in awe and intense amazement how could they came up with such an idea. It is hard to choose the favorite as I enjoy all of them without the exception of their pointless video blog. Maybe I can narrow down to four: The Last, The One Days: HK - See Through, When Five Fell and Strangers, Again. Aside from their apparent success over 230 million views on youtube and fast-selling merchandise, Wong Fu has inspired maybe thousand or million souls out there to make this world a better place. Knowing their work is one of the greatest gifts in my life. And just like the other a million souls around the world, these guys have inspired me more than they would ever realise. Books I've read: Found this book Culture Shock: Jakarta in my friend's room. By reading and looking at the pictures, it took me back to the bits of detail Jakarta had. If you ever come across this book, mainly what the author wrote were true -- but seriously, it was not as bad as it sounds. I have also read Steppenwolf by Herman Hesse but I barely reached the middle section. It was depressingly beautiful, thus I have to stepped back a little because I might carried away too deep to the story because recently I have not really got a steady grip. Even though I was half way to the end of Steppenwolf, last Boxing Day in order to pay a tribute to Britain shopping madness, I went to Waterstone and bought myself Haruki Murakami's 1Q84 Book One and Two. Barely start two chapter, I could tell it is a good book. Travel matters: I have travelled a little bit during this past month. Been traveling to London back and forth. Visiting a friend in a small town called Egham, forty five minutes from London by train. Also, Bristol; the home of my British TV series hero, Effy Stonem from Skins. This time, I visited the Art Museum and stranded on an underrated small cupcake shop away from town centre, which turned out to served one of the best cupcakes I have ever tried, as a shelter from getting lost under heavy rain. From now on, I would like to visit more Museums and Art Galleries. I suggest you to do the same. If you have, that's good. The rest I have been calmly stayed in Bournemouth. Well, not really but I'll post it soon! It's February, have a great Valentine's Day, everyone! Looking forward to read romantic post in two weeks!
